If your student is unable to make a lesson please fill in the below form to inform us.

Students involved in private lessons will have up to 5 lessons per year made up for explained student absence when 24 hours’ notice is given, or by 8:00am on the morning of the absence in the case of illness. Lessons with unexplained absences will be forfeited.

Term and Conditions for Student Absences

Students are invoiced for 34 lessons in Term 1 with adjustments made in subsequent terms as required based on the number of lessons received. Students commencing after the start of Term 1 will be invoiced on a pro rata basis in line with the number of expected lessons remaining for the current year.

Our policies for GROUP and PAIRED lessons:

For known absences, students should, out of courtesy, provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice directly to their teacher or via email graceacademy@glc.qld.edu.au
For unknown absences such as student illness, notice of absence is required by the parent/guardian to the Grace Academy office via email graceacademy@glc.qld.edu.au or telephone 3897 2118 by 8:00am on the morning of the absence
Other than teacher absence and whole school events, students enrolled in group or paired lessons will be invoiced for all timetabled lessons
Long-term absences due to illness/injury may be negotiated with the Director of Grace Academy
To help keep track of attendance, notes are sent home when students are absent from a lesson without notice

Students involved in private lessons are required to provide 24 hours’ notice for explained absences, or by 8:00am on the morning of the absence in the case of illness. Notice of absence is required via email graceacademy@glc.qld.edu.au or telephone 07 3897 2118. Lessons with unexplained absences will be forfeited. To help keep track of attendance, notice will be sent to the account holder via email when students are absent from a lesson without notice.
When the correct notice is provided, students enrolled in private lessons may have up to 5 explained absences excused per year, excluding teacher absence and whole school events which are not invoiced
Long-term absences due to illness/injury may be negotiated with the Director of Grace Academy
